About me

Martin Flink

I live in Hillerød, Denmark about 30 km outside Copenhagen. I was born and raised in the small town of Farum, but moved to Hillerød with my wife and kid some years back.

I have a degree in Graphic Design and Production and have been making my living as a Graphic Designer since 1994. I’ve worked at Kailow, bDirect, Adpeople and MontageBureauet.

In 2010 I finished my year at Serieskolan (School of comic-book art) in Malmö, where I worked on my one-year project “Lizard”.

At the moment I’m working freelance as a Graphic Designer and Illustrator.

I have been drawing for as long as I can remember. But it was first after I was introduced to Judge Dredd, Spiderman and the Hulk, that I realized that it was comics I wanted to do.

In 1999 I self-published my first comic-book “Fantasiens Melodi”. Since then I’ve published four other books, “Utopia 1 and 2, Epilepsi and Robotten.

In 2004 I was one of the co-founders of the Danish Comic-book festival Komiks.dk, now Copenhagen Comics. And that led to meeting the guys at Accent UK, who is now publishing my first english comic-book outside Scandinavia.
